Get Subtitles

How can I get the subtitles for deaf off my Sanyo tv using cable remote?

I don't have the original remote control for the Sanyo tv and I can't get these subtitles off. Can someone tell me?

1. If the tv has a menu button on the front, then you can access the closed captioning feature & turn it to the off position. It may say CC1 or CC2 & turn off TEXT as well.
2. If the TV has a menu use it. If not try unplugging the TV and letting it sit for a while. This may reset it to factory defaults. CC off
